Human Resources Coordinator

The HR Coordinator is responsible for assisting the HR department in various administrative tasks. They serve as a bridge between employees and the HR team, helping to maintain a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

    • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
    • Perform full cycle recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and completing reference checks.
    • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including paperwork, orientation, and training schedules.
    • Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, benefits, and performance evaluations.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality.
    • Help communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and ensure compliance.
    • Assist in the development and updating of HR policies and employee handbooks.
    • Coordinate training programs and development initiatives, including scheduling and tracking employee participation.
    • Generate HR reports and assist in audits when necessary.
    • Utilize HR software and systems to input and maintain employee data.
    • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to HR systems.
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining HR documents and reports.

    Experience, Qualifications & Attributes

      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) OR Prior experience in HR or related administrative roles.
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS software.
      • Knowledge of employment law and governing boards.
      • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
      • Experience working in an industrial setting would be an asset.
      • HR professional certification would be an asset.
      • Travel between Ashcroft and Vancouver is required.
