Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the full solution sell of customized end-to-end, one-stop-shop furniture design build for the commercial office space. The ideal candidate for this role will be driven and have a self-motivated mindset.


  • Identify and target potential customers through market research, cold calling, networking, and other lead-generation methods.
  • Understand customers' furniture and design needs and provide expert advice and recommendations
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition and benefits of the products or services offered
  • Utilize sales techniques to close transactions and meet business objectives
  • Provide a full solution sell including layout, planning, renderings, spec sheets
  • Utilize CRM tool to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up tasks
  • Stay up to date on current design styles, and trends
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership team to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Participate in internal meetings to stay informed about product updates and sales strategies

    Experience, Qualifications & Attributes

    • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a new business development role
    • Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
    • Ability to translate creative concepts into tangible business outcomes
    • Knowledge of sales procedures and best practices
    • AutoCAD experience is considered an asset
    • Experience with CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoom Info)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and in a fast-paced setting
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    • High level of professionalism and integrity
    • Self-motivated, driven
