Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the full solution sell of customized end-to-end, one-stop-shop furniture design build for the commercial office space. The ideal candidate for this role will be driven and have a self-motivated mindset.
Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential customers through market research, cold calling, networking, and other lead-generation methods.
- Understand customers' furniture and design needs and provide expert advice and recommendations
- Clearly communicate the value proposition and benefits of the products or services offered
- Utilize sales techniques to close transactions and meet business objectives
- Provide a full solution sell including layout, planning, renderings, spec sheets
- Utilize CRM tool to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up tasks
- Stay up to date on current design styles, and trends
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with peers and leadership team to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Participate in internal meetings to stay informed about product updates and sales strategies
Experience, Qualifications & Attributes
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a new business development role
- Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Ability to translate creative concepts into tangible business outcomes
- Knowledge of sales procedures and best practices
- AutoCAD experience is considered an asset
- Experience with CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoom Info)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and in a fast-paced setting
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Self-motivated, driven
