
Logistics Manager, North America
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Our client is a leading global retailer with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality outdoor apparel and equipment. With more than 400 stores worldwide and a customer base exceeding 5 million, they continue to grow rapidly across Canada, the US, and beyond.
As part of their North American expansion, they are seeking a Logistics Manager, North America to support operations across two distribution centres in Mississauga, ON and Harrisburg, PA. Position Summary
Reporting to the Global Logistics Manager, the Logistics Manager, North America, will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and ensuring timely delivery of products to retail stores and e-commerce customers across Canada and the US. This hybrid role is based in Mississauga, ON (3 days on-site), with monthly travel to the Harrisburg, PA facility and occasional remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 3PL performance and operations at Canadian and U.S. distribution centres.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Supply Chain, Merchandising, Buying, Retail, and E-Commerce to ensure smooth, customer-focused logistics execution.
- Contribute to the successful launch and process development of a new distribution centre in Harrisburg, PA.
- Leverage data and analytics to support warehouse robotics adoption and operational efficiencies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost controls aligned with operational budgets.
- Partner with S&OP teams to provide accurate forecasting and long-term capacity planning to 3PL partners.
- Own and manage performance reporting across the supply chain, benchmarking against budget, forecast, and KPIs.
- Conduct operational and commercial reviews with 3PL partners to ensure SLA and KPI compliance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and partnership across the supply chain network.
Year-One Objectives
- Gain deep understanding of internal processes, systems, and organizational culture.
- Help define and improve operational models at the new U.S. distribution centre.
- Stay abreast of warehouse automation technologies, including robotics, and recommend future innovations.
- Support planning for a potential future facility in Western Canada.
Experience, Qualifications & Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree or certifications (e.g. CPIM, CSCP) is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics/supply chain, with significant exposure to 3PL operations.
- Experience in retail or consumer product distribution environments is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage distribution centre operations across multiple regions.
- Expertise in process improvement and efficiency programs within supply chain functions.
- Knowledge of logistics technologies and experience applying data-driven insights.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing operational budgets and controlling costs.
- Proficiency in logistics and analytics tools (e.g., ERP, Excel, Power BI).
